Your main duties will involve assisting with financial administration, and the administration of applications from centres to deliver Ascentis qualifications.

Ascentis is an established National Awarding Body recognised by Ofqual and an established Access Validating Agency recognised by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.  Ascentis is based in Lancaster, a historic, vibrant university city, rich in cultural heritage and within easy reach of the motorway.

Quality Assurance Assistant Manager

Salary £24000

As a result of growth Ascentis is seeking a talented individual to join our enthusiastic and committed management team.

You will be involved in the management of aspects of quality assurance systems including centre recognition, external moderation and assessment activity.  You will provide advice and guidance to recognised Ascentis centres on quality assurance issues, including the delivery of high quality staff development.

You should be a good team worker and project manager and be able to manage a number of projects concurrently.  You should be educated to degree or equivalent level.

• Construction  – in particular to cover the following regions: South East; South West
• Teacher Training  – in particular to cover the following regions: South East; South West
• Languages – Polish, Arabic, Urdu, Italian
• Community Interpreting

As a minimum, External Moderators should be specialists in their field, hold a teaching qualification or equivalent and have experience of internal and / or external moderation.
