Unit Delivery to Support the Unemployed
Unit Delivery to Support the Unemployed

Ascentis is pleased to be involved in the funded ‘Unit Delivery to Support the Unemployed’ initiative. The primary purpose of the initiative is to help people move into employment. The units are intended to support learners whether they need the initial skills and knowledge to find employment or need to develop new skills to enable them to move on.
Learners will be awarded credits for each unit they achieve. These credits can be accumulated and count towards:
- Another qualification in the future
- Supporting training
- Up skilling
Potential learners need to be on ‘active benefits’, which include those who are in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance (Work-Related Activity Group). Other individuals who are unemployed may be eligible at the discretion of the provider.
The units available have been assigned to a number of subject areas listed on the left hand side of this page. Select a subject area for further information and to view units.
