First of all, we would like to take this opportunity to thank YoungMinds for contributing to the success of our recent Mental Health and Well-being workshops. We appreciate that you were able to work with us on these events! 

Wendy Gleave, speaker from YoungMinds, lead the fantastic workshops which focussed on ‘How we can build a whole college approach to mental health’ and ‘building resilience in young learners’. There were various activities throughout the workshops which lead to discussions about how the delegates currently acknowledged and approached mental health within their college environment. Wendy provided statistics in relation to young people and mental health and discussed the tools and methods which can be used in the delegates day to day roles. The workshops took place on Tuesday 24th and Thursday 26th April 2018 in London and Birmingham and we are very pleased to say all workshops were fully booked!

This is the first time that Ascentis has held an event is association with another fantastic charity, Young Minds.

Ascentis closed the workshop by giving a demonstration of the resources available for the newly developed Level 1 Award in Mental Health and Well-being short online qualification.  The feedback we have gained from the event is instrumental -
