What do we offer our centres?

Quality Assurance

  • Simple, straight-forward centre recognition and qualification approval process.
  • Personal service – you will be allocated a named subject specialist External Quality Assurer (EQA) and a named contact at the office. Both will be available to offer guidance and support before and throughout the delivery of your course.
  • Free on-site half day training from your allocated subject specialist EQA when your centre gains approval to deliver new provision.
  • An appropriate and flexible verification model for your centre’s delivery plans – usually two free verifications per academic year.
  • Regular free half-day Regional Quality Meetings for many subject areas, facilitated by subject specialist EQAs. Each event offers the opportunity to standardise with practitioners from other centres using current learner work, share best practice, ask questions and learn about qualification developments. Ascentis provides certificates as evidence of CPD for all staff who attend. Remote standardisation activities are also available.
  • Free places at Ascentis Internal Quality Assurance half-day training events. These are aimed at centre staff who are new to the IV role and they offer the opportunity for you to familiarise yourself with Ascentis IQA procedures and expectations. The course is also useful in supporting and informing assessors as well as offering a refresher to existing centre IVs and becoming a stepping stone to Direct Claims Status.
  • Confidence that our qualifications and their delivery are supported and monitored with rigour, so that learners receive the best possible experience on their learning journey.

Quality Assurance for Access to HE Diploma stakeholders

  • All aspects of the Access to HE provision, the services we provide and the resources we offer, are continuously monitored and reviewed to ensure that they meet the expectations and standards of our stakeholders.
  • Our curriculum offer works in synergy with the strategic aims and values of providers and receiving HEIs to provide meaningful learning experiences to learners that undertake an Access to HE Diploma.
  • As a nationally operating AVA, Ascentis invests in the practice of standardisation and the continuous enhancement of the curriculum.
