This qualification introduces the terms mental health and well-being and strives to enable people to thrive with good mental health in everything they do.

The aims of the qualification are to enable learners:

  • To understand what is meant by the terms mental health and well-being
  • To understand different mental health conditions and treatment
  • To know how to find support for mental health conditions
  • To know how to look after own mental health and well-being

Building on personal and social skills, tutors will help learners develop compassion, well-being and communication skills.

Learners will be encouraged to develop their confidence and self-awareness. It also enables the learner to break through barriers they may not already know exist.

The course can be delivered either as a classroom-based, blended learning, or completely online programme.

The assessment is multiple choice questions either online or paper based with FREE online learner resources available.
