Ascentis understands that certificates may be lost, damaged, or require correction. The information below explains when replacement certificates can be issued and how to apply.

When can I request a replacement certificate?

Ascentis can issue a replacement certificate if:

• Your original certificate has been lost or damaged, or
• Your learner details need correcting after the original certificate has been issued

All replacement certificates must show your legal name at the time the qualification was achieved.

What types of certificates can be replaced?

• Hard copy certificates
  We can replace hard copy certificates issued within the last 15 years. Certificates older than this may no longer be available.If your centre was e-Certificates only at the time you took the qualification you can only request an e-Certificate replacement Certificate.  We cannot issue a hard copy certificate.
• e‑Certificates
  Replacement e‑Certificates are available only for qualifications awarded on or after 1^st January 2024.
• Certificates we cannot replace
  Ascentis is unable to replace Quality Stamp Plus certificates.

Statement of Results

Where replacement certificates are no longer available e.g. results over 15 years, Ascentis may be able to issue a statement of results if we still have access to the results.

Workers’ Educational Service (WES) confirmation requests

If WES requires confirmation of your results, you must provide:

• A contact name
• An email address for correspondence
• Your WES reference number

Ascentis will send confirmation of results only via an encrypted email. We cannot attach a copy of your certificate or send certificates directly to WES.

How do I apply?

All requests must be made using the Replacement Certificate Application Form.

• Approved centres can access the form via the Compliance section of Parnassus
• Former learners can access the form here: Learner Replacement Certificate Request Form

Requests submitted outside this process cannot be accepted.

Fees and timescales

• Replacement certificates are subject to a fee. Please refer to the Product Catalogue.
• If no fee is received within 4 weeks of confirmation that we have your certificate, then your form will be archived and you would need to reapply, this will incur a 2^nd search fee.
• Replacement certificates will be issued within 4 weeks of receiving payment and all required information.

If you have any questions about your results or UCAS, please contact your learning centre.

When will I receive my results?

Access to HE Diploma results are made available to HE institutions, such as universities, via the UCAS Awarding Body Linkage (ABL) process.

Results for UCAS are uploaded according to an annual schedule (set by UCAS) through the Awarding Body Linkage (ABL) program.

This brings Access to HE Diploma learners in line with other learners whose qualification results are transmitted automatically to HEIs via ABL and ensures HEIs can confirm offers to Access to HE Diploma students in a timely manner.

Will my Higher Education Provider or University accept my certificate?

The Access to Higher Education Diploma is a nationally recognised qualification regulated by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) and is accepted by the majority of UK universities. Applicants are advised to confirm specific entry requirements with their chosen higher education institution. Some universities may require the diploma to be in a particular subject area or have additional entry criteria.

While the diploma does not have an official expiry date, some institutions may request evidence of recent study to ensure academic readiness.

I would like to complain about my learning provider

Initially if you have a complaint about your course or learning provider, you should initially follow their complaints procedure.
