Enhancing Well-being in Education
Ascentis values the importance that an awareness for well-being can have in encouraging learners to achieve and progress in their education, training and personal development.
Our emphasis on developing a knowledge and wider awareness for well-being links to the Public Health England Strategy 2020-25. The strategy aims to develop an increased mental health literacy across the population, where individuals take action over their own mental health, and support people around them to do the same (PHE Strategy 2020-25, Public Health England, September 2019).
Being proactive in our well-being requires education and support, and our emphasis for well-being across our qualifications and resources will support learners in their personal development.
Surviving the Modern World: Well-being Guide
We are excited to share with centres our brand new guide that will support learners in understanding and reflecting on their own well-being. This is a FREE resource available to all our centres. It includes an action plan that learners can engage with independently, or in group settings with tutor support. By interacting with the guide, learners will be able to take positive action in developing their well-being on a personal and educational level.
