Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE confirms topic for the Ascentis National Conference 2019
The Co-founder of Stemettes Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon MBE has revealed that she will be speaking on ‘Educating for the Future, Now’ at the Ascentis National Conference: Learners in the Digital Evolution.
In her keynote speech Dr Anne-Marie will be focusing on the importance of digital skills in education and how to encourage diversity in technology.
Other keynote speakers at the Ascentis National Conference include:
- Gyles Brandreth – Writer, Actor, Chancellor of the University of Chester and former MP, speaking on ‘Well-being: A Practical Guide to achieving it in the new Techno World’.
- Grace Barrett – Co-Founder of The Self-Esteem Team, speaking on ‘Staying Safe Online’.
On the day there will also be a choice of workshops with:
• Beej Kaczmarczyk – Owner of e-Memoir and experienced consultant, trainer and manager in the post-16 education and training sector, delivering a workshop on ‘Funding in FE’.
• Richard Burnett – Mindfulness in Schools Project (MISP), delivering a workshop on ‘Mindfulness’.
All attendees will have opportunities to network with other like-minded individuals working in the education sector, and get all their burning questions asked from both Ascentis and the keynote speakers.
To conclude the day will finish with our much anticipated prize draw, where a luxury hamper will be up for grabs.
