This qualification is intended for those who wish to gain an understanding of the principles and practices of assessment without any requirements to practice as assessors.

Aims

The aims of the qualification are to enable learners to:

  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the principles and practice that underpin assessment.

Target Group

This qualification is aimed at a range of learners, including:

  • Learners in the 19+ age group
  • Those working or intending to work as internal quality assurance staff within an FE centre, Adult and Community Learning centre, an Independent Learning provider and directly within the workplace.
  • Those who may wish to work as assessors in the future.

Assessment Method

Portfolio of knowledge evidence only. No performance evidence required.
