Green Qualifications
Ascentis are proud to offer a range of qualifications to support your Centres’ green initiatives and help learners understand the impact of issues such as climate change and plastic pollutants.
The UK aims to reach net-zero emissions by 2050. This means between 2022 and 2050, there will be a need to recruit around 400,000 energy jobs. This need would be across multiple areas including, digital, engineering and construction.
Perfect for induction programmes and learner enrichment, we offer a range of Short Online Qualifications which include:
- Ascentis Level 1 Award in Preventing Plastic Pollution
- Ascentis Level 1 and 2 Award in Environmental Sustainability
- Ascentis Level 2 Award in Carbon Literacy and the Impact of Climate Change
Access to HE supports those learners who wish to go on to higher education or progress in their employment. These qualifications offer learners the opportunity to reskill which is essential for job roles such as mechanics. This is because of technological advancements such as electric vehicles which are environmentally friendly. Studies suggest that by 2030 potentially 182,000 mechanics will need reskilling and 175,000 independent dealership employees will need retraining. Qualifications across all Levels can help learners re-skill and up-skill to meet these changing demands, Ascentis offer the following diploma titles:

Plant a tree with Ascentis
Ascentis are delighted to announce that we have planted 100 trees with the National Trust! We would like to thank all centres who participated and helped us reduce emissions and create new habitats for wildlife such as the red squirrel and the greater spotted woodpecker as well as many other birds and animals.
