Ascentis Customers

At Bury Adult Learning Service we find that the Ascentis suite of ESOL assessments is ideally suited to our provision. The flexibility of the assessments is well-suited to ESOL learners. We are able to carry out assessments which combine rigorous adherence to standards with the supportive environment which enables our learners to perform to the best of their ability. EV visits are well managed and certificates arrive promptly

Anne Starkie, Bury Adult Learning Service

We are very pleased that we made the move to Ascentis for all our ESOL exams.  The exams are appropriate for our learners, and lecturers find the marking manageable.  As an organisation Ascentis is a pleasure to work with.  Our queries are always dealt with quickly and we are extremely well supported by our verifier

Our level 2 pre-access provision is very strong, currently 100% retention and all progressing on to Access to Higher Education

Lynn Adam, Wirral Metropolitan College

Thankfully, I was given the chance to be part of this course. It has helped me retrain my brain after being out of education for so long. I thought I was ready to do the level 3 last year, but after being on the level 2 I know now that I most definitely wasn’t. This course has helped me gain confidence, learn skills I never thought were possible and, all in all, been an absolute eye opener to the world of studying

Jennie Kynan, Lancaster and Morecambe College

The mixture of assessments; including exams, coursework and research papers have provided me with wider learning opportunities and have prepared me for my next step to university

IDL Customers

The increase in reading and spelling ability with our children is noticeable and within a relatively short period of time. However, the greatest benefit has to be the growing confidence, self-esteem and their enthusiasm for learning. I believe the IDL Program is a complete winner. Long awaited for!

Hambleton Primary Academy

We would like to continue with IDL next year as we have found that the program has had a fantastic impact, not only academically but socially and emotionally

St Andrew’s C of E Primary School

I just wanted to say how impressed I am with IDL.  Many of the schools that I support across the North West seem to be using it now and I’m seeing lots of pupils making real progress when using it.  Just wanted to give some feedback

Dr Ian Corban, Chartered Educational & Child Psychologist/Therapist

I am using the programme with 9 pupils who are working for an hour a week, all the pupils involved enjoy completing the lessons and say they feel more confident trying to spell words in class. They all look forward to spending time on the computer working at their own pace. Thanks for all the support which is ensuring the programme works whenever I log a pupil onto their lessons

Corpus Christi Catholic High School

Pupils are really enjoying using the program. The results with one particularly hard to motivate have been amazing! The TA has grown in confidence too and is looking forward to running the program for more children next year. It has been good to be able to run the program with one TA for several children at once. We are expanding the programme to include a wider range of children with reading and spelling problems. I have recommended it to other SENCos at our cluster meetings
